Correlation

Again in this series of paintings on canvas, wood panel and paper images from the mass media and photographs of landscapes are used.

At first glance, the representations appear very similar. Black/white as the choice of colors, reduction of forms, linear concentrations. Only on closer inspection does the content reveal itself. What at first seemed nice and soothing turns out to be a scene of horror. Through these works, which are often presented in wall-filling collages. I try to show the simultaneity of beauty and ugliness, of peace and war, of love and hate on this planet.

Auch in dieser Serie von Arbeiten auf Leinwand, Holz und Papier werden Bilder aus den Massenmedien und eigene Aufnahmen von Landschaften verwendet.

Auf den ersten Blick scheinen sich die Darstellungen sehr ähnlich. schwarz/weisse Farbwahl, Reduktion von Formen, lineare Konzentrationen. Erst bei näherer Betrachtung kommt man dem Inhalt näher. Was zuerst schön und beruhigend gewirkt hat, stellt sich als eine Szene des Horrors heraus. Durch diese Arbeiten, die oft in wandfüllenden Collagen presentiert werden. versuche ich die Gleichzeitigkeit von Schöhnheit und Hässlichkeit, von Frieden und Krieg, von Liebe und Hass auf diesem Planeten aufzuzeigen.
